TR – Personal Trainer

Personal Bio:

In high school I played football, wrestled, ran track, and played tennis. My passion for athletics and physical wellness extended into college where I earned a degree in Exercise Science from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. I then went back to school for nursing to enhance my knowledge of overcoming medical challenges that many people face in their journey toward improved health. The passion that I have for fitness is only surpassed by the passion that I have for God and family. I’m currently studying theology at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and have an amazing wife and 2 wonderful boys.

Professional Bio:

I have been a Personal Trainer for over 13 years. During that time I have worked with pre and post-natal clients, athletes, bridal parties getting ready for their big day, stay-at-home moms, and medically referred patients. The one common goal I was able to help them achieve: “Get better and stronger than yesterday!” My approach to fitness is to compete with no one but you. Make improvements and monitor your progress to keep your motivation in hyper-drive. I am huge fan of before-and-after pictures to show my clients how their body is slimming and muscles are becoming leaner. I like to push for high intensity to show you that you can get results fast if you’re willing to work for it!

BETSEY – Personal Trainer

Personal Bio:

I grew up an active kid and participated in every sport activity available. At a young age I developed a passion for softball that grew the older I got. In high school I realized that I wanted to take my softball career further. I went to Wingate University to play softball for my freshman and sophomore years of college. I transferred closer to home and finished my collegiate career at Barton University. During that time I fell in love with fitness. After battling a serious eating disorder in college, I found a way to focus my energy and keep my body healthy. I love helping others reach their dreams and I focus on doing it the healthiest way possible. I have a Mass Communications degree with a specialization in Public Relations which I feel helps me significantly in the fitness industry. I believe that our bodies are temples and that we should glorify God by keeping them healthy!

Professional Bio:

I was a collegiate athlete and I bring that same determination and intensity to my workouts for clients. There is more strength in each of us than we realize and I like to draw that out of people with a good workout and positive motivation. I use a combination of weights and cardio to get a lean, toned look. I like to keep the heart rate up with high intensity, but also combine weights to keep you sore the next day. I love to motivate and push my clients for one more rep, 5 more minutes, or 1 more day.

Earned Certifications:

  • AFPA Certified Personal Trainer
  • AFPA Certified Sports Nutritionist

Fitness Motto:

DYLAN – Personal Trainer

Personal Bio:

My journey in the gym started when I followed a 6-week workout plan in the Boy Scouts. Once I saw what the gym could do to the human body I dove headfirst into weightlifting and nutrition. My obsession lead me to Johnson & Wales University where I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition. Being equipped with the knowledge of how nutrition can affect the body, particularly with athletes, I decided to become a certified personal trainer. During this time period, I was involved with competitive powerlifting, and am currently training to compete in a bodybuilding competition.

Professional Bio:

When it comes to nutrition and cooking, you start with the major items and work down to the details. I treat my training the same way. Start with the major muscles and proper form and we work our way into balance and toning for a lean look. A session with me will push you to your limits. With a mix of strength training, various techniques to increase intensity, and bodyweight/plyometric work, you’re guaranteed to work until you’re gritting your teeth and laughing.

Earned Certifications:

  • Certified Personel Trainer – NSCA

Fitness Motto:

“Stop talking it’s time for your set”

KRISTY – Personal Trainer

Personal Bio:

I grew up in a household where sports and fitness played a big part of my childhood. My parents would make me run laps around the house and hold a wall sit as punishment instead of sitting in time out. Fitness became a love of my own while playing tennis in college and earning my degree in Fitness Management and Gerontology from Barton College. While earning my degree, I was afforded the opportunity to work with athletes at all division levels as well the professional and Olympic level. My desire was to become a strength and conditioning coach for an athletic team but after spending a summer as an intern, I realized that I enjoyed working with people one-on-one more and decided to change career paths.  I love being a Personal Trainer and having a direct positive impact on the health and well-being of others. This is my passion that has been with me since I was a child and now I get the chance to share it with others.

Professional Bio:

I have been a Personal Trainer for 5 years and enjoy working with all age groups and fitness levels. In college I studied gerontology because I love working with the senior population and proving that no matter your age, you can make fitness fun!  My athletic drive also comes out when I train clients as I incorporate a lot of athletic movements and energy in our sessions. I love to push myself and try new things in my own workouts and I carry that mindset when I train others.

Earned Certifications:

  • USA Weightlifting Coach
  • AFAA Certified Personal Trainer

HAYLEY – Personal Trainer

Personal Bio:

I have always been involved in athletics starting at the age of 3 starting with tee ball and dance and then basketball at the age of 5. I stuck with it and was busy with sports throughout middle school and high school and was a tri-sport athlete playing tennis, basketball, and softball. I won numerous awards for athletics including the Heisman Scholarship award and Female Athlete of the Year. I fell in love with Olympic lifts in high school and took weight lifting each semester where I proved to be one of the strongest girls in school. I chose to further my career in softball and played 4 years at Barton College where I earned a degree in Special and Elementary Education with a minor in history. I love helping others and sharing my learning experiences to encourage those around me. I’ve recently come to love powerlifting and know that it’s not about being skinny but feeling strong and improving yourself. That confidence gives me encouragement and I love giving that same sense of empowerment to others.

Professional Bio:

I’m a huge fan of variety and making the gym time a fun experience. My sessions are fun, high intensity, and you’re sure to break a sweat. I will have you moving from cables, to free weights, to cardiovascular machines and will keep your heart rate up and your mind guessing.
